The Miracle in Motion…

“Here ye….here ye….gather around friends from across the globe to hear of the marvelous, the magnificent, the one and only miracle in motion named Maya Denise Brrrooooowwwwwnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!”

At least that is how I feel every time I see her! There is not a day that now goes by where I don’t see our child changing, slowly but surely, and coming into her own.  When she was born she looked a little foreign…but now…SHE’S STUNTIN LIKE HER DADDY!!! Yea, that’s right Maya is developing more facial features as the days go along and she is looking more like her daddy….but much prettier of course. So far as the inside, because of course that counts the most, she is definitely her mother’s daughter!! Not that I can tell a lot…but I notice some. These are all good signs and ones that we can and can’t wait to see play out as her life continues.
In other news, I bought Maya her first little books (Thanks Ebonie for taking me to the bookstore). As of today, she has some Dr.Seuss Counting Cards Baby Einsteins letters and a Baby Einstein shapes book. I don’t know when I will begin helping her as of now. Right now, we are strictly sticking to stories…mostly daddy’s books and papers for school (Hey, any knowledge is good knowledge right?!?!?!?!?!?).

Enough of me…let’s talk more about Maya and her progress:

• Maya is a little confused now on what’s day and night and this has mommy and daddy (Especially him since he has to be at work every morning) looking and acting a little confused as well.
• Do you remember the game Hungry Hungry Hippo??? Well that’s Baby Maya! Just eating more and more often!
• “I’m a big kid now.” Sure is….. I am currently tracking her height and weight on excel. As of today, she is 8lbs. 10ozs. and is about 22 inches long!
  
• Has had her first full bath! So her umbilical cord is now secured and she has been getting full baths her special tub.She likes baths, and I am glad she does, she just sits there as if she was at the spa getting a spa treatment while her mother washes her up.
• Diaper count: As of today we have probably went through about 140 or so diapers!!!! Whew…I guess those internal organs are still getting themselves together.

That’s it for now….Friday the 13th marks 3 weeks for Baby Maya and she will have a new playmate by then…his name is Kingston Spencer.But, more about him later!!
